Fender revisit some of the much-coveted 'Japanese Vintage' reissues of the eighties and fully crank up the playability and sonic range with some umami-flavoured mods. The JV Modified '60s Custom Telecaster features the same throw-back eighties style and the resonant foundation of a basswood body, but here, comes loaded with a pair of Vintage-Style Single-Coil Tele® pickups coupled with a four-way selector switch. Toggle the switch to isolate each pickup, combine them in series or parallel, and engage the cheeky push/pull tone pot to flip the pickups out of phase in positions two and four.

The JV Modified '50s Tele comes dipped in Firemist Gold, framed in tight, contrasting binding, and finished with a three-ply parchment pickguard to complete a clean and classic, fully stage-ready look. All the way from the familiar feel of the rosewood fretboard and 9.5 inch radius to the 21 medium-jumbo frets and the smooth satin-gloss finish of the V-profile neck; the playability is just as luxurious, while a set of Vintage-Style locking machine heads provide the ultra-up-to-date final touch.
